The changelog

ScriptBlox · version 3.2.6

ScriptBlox records a dense version history for Volcano. The latest entry, v3.2.6, is marked "14 hours ago" and says it was "Updated for version-11f155f3450f4c8e" and "Added ScriptHub Section on UI" . Earlier entries mention "Hardened security vulnerabilities; Myriad Vulnerability test score: 100/100," "Fixed rare Drawing Library crashes," and compensation notes for downtime .

A changelog is a record of activity. It shows that someone is pushing updates and documenting them. It does not show what is inside the binary, whether the update path is secure, or whether the compensation notes reflect a commercial transition or a technical recovery. The changelog answers "is this project active?" It does not answer "is this safe?"

02

The sandbox score

Triage · Volcano Executor.zip

Triage scored a Volcano Executor.zip at 7/10. The zip is 5.4MB with SHA256 f238654b6d4677b224b3e7940973f8a534a0b3dd93cda61fd7ea4a480f135582 . Within the zip, a file named Volcano Executor.exe is 2.0MB and also scored 7/10. A separate target, .Store, is 3.4MB and scored 5/10 .

The behavioral notes list two specific flags: "Checks computer location settings" (geofence check via registry country code) and "Event Triggered Execution: Component Object Model Hijacking" (COM hijacking for persistence) . A 7/10 score is a behavioral risk signal. It is not a malware classification. COM hijacking is a persistence technique that can be used by legitimate software, but it is also commonly associated with malware. The score does not resolve which applies here.

03

The domains

Gridinsoft · three separate scans

Gridinsoft classifies volcanoexecutor.com as phishing with a 1/100 trust score, two blacklist hits, and a "Free Robux" risk indicator. The domain was registered May 8, 2025, and the scan was last checked May 18, 2026 . Gridinsoft describes the site as operating a phishing platform designed to steal credentials and financial data through social engineering .

Gridinsoft also classifies volcano-executor.net as phishing with a 1/100 trust score and one blacklist hit. The domain was registered January 17, 2026, and the scan was last checked September 5, 2026 . A third domain, volcano.onl, was scanned by Cloudflare Radar and received "no classification," meaning there was not enough signal to make a verdict .

Three domains use the Volcano name. Two are flagged as phishing by Gridinsoft. One has no classification. None of the records reviewed here confirms which, if any, is the developer-controlled source.

The installation report

Microsoft Q&A · October 2026

A Microsoft Q&A thread from October 2026 describes a user who cannot get Volcano to inject. The user reports running it as Administrator, disabling Windows Defender Real-Time Protection, adding the Volcano folder to Defender exclusions, turning off Smart App Control, reinstalling Roblox, and installing all Visual C++ Redistributables . The error is "Injection failed: Roblox process not found."

The user's setup includes Windows 11 24H2, an RTX 4060, and 16GB RAM. The Volcano version is v3.1.2 . The report describes an operational failure, not a security verdict. It shows that a user who followed the standard troubleshooting steps still could not get the executor to run. It does not show whether the failure is caused by the executor, the Roblox version, or the Windows configuration.

Why an active changelog and a phishing flag can coexist

A changelog is a record of what the project says it changed. A phishing flag is a record of what a scanner says about a domain. The two records are about different things. The changelog describes the executor's version history . The phishing flag describes a website that uses the Volcano name .

The changelog does not link to a domain in the data reviewed here. The phishing flags do not reference a specific version or binary. The gap between them is the same gap that exists for every executor delivered through a name that multiple parties can use: the project's record and the website's reputation are separate artifacts.

The Triage score adds a third layer. The zip that was scored 7/10 is a specific file with a specific hash . The phishing domains are specific URLs with specific reputations . Nothing in the records reviewed here connects the zip to either domain. The zip may have been downloaded from one of them. It may have been downloaded from somewhere else. The records do not say.

What the COM hijacking flag actually means

Triage's behavioral notes describe COM hijacking as a persistence technique: "Adversaries may establish persistence by executing malicious content triggered by hijacked references to Component Object Model (COM) objects" . The note is a generic description of the technique, not a specific finding about Volcano's intent.

COM hijacking can be used by legitimate installers and updaters that need to register components. It can also be used by malware to survive reboots. The Triage score of 7/10 reflects the presence of the behavior, not a judgment about why it is there. A reader who wants to know whether the behavior is benign or malicious cannot get that answer from the score alone.

The records, compared

SourceWhat it recordsWhat it does not record
ScriptBloxv3.2.6, dated changelog, compensation notes Binary contents, domain ownership
Triage7/10, COM hijacking, geofence check Whether the file is malicious
Gridinsoft Avolcanoexecutor.com: 1/100, phishing Whether the domain serves the tested zip
Gridinsoft Bvolcano-executor.net: 1/100, phishing Whether the domain serves the tested zip
Microsoft Q&AInjection failure after disabling Defender Whether the failure is the executor's fault

Each source answers a different question. The changelog answers "is this active." The sandbox answers "what did the file do." The domain scans answer "what is the website's reputation." The Q&A answers "what happened to one user." None of them answers "is this safe."

What this page does not claim

  • This page does not claim Volcano is malware. The Triage 7/10 score is a behavioral signal . The phishing flags are domain reputation signals . Neither is a malware classification.
  • This page does not claim Volcano is safe. No independent audit, sUNC measurement from a tracker, or clean domain scan was found in the sources reviewed here.
  • This page does not claim the two flagged domains are the same source. They were registered eight months apart, by different registrars, and flagged at different times . They share a name and a trust score, not a confirmed identity.
  • This page does not claim the Microsoft Q&A report proves Volcano is broken. It documents one user's operational failure on a specific Windows configuration .

Volcano questions, separated by layer

Does the ScriptBlox changelog prove Volcano is safe?

No. The changelog records version numbers, dates, and changes the project says it made . It is evidence of activity, not evidence of safety. It does not describe the binary or the delivery path.

What did Triage observe in the Volcano zip?

Triage scored the zip 7/10 and flagged COM hijacking for persistence and a geofence check via registry country code . A 7/10 score is a behavioral observation, not a malware classification.

Why are two Volcano domains flagged as phishing?

Gridinsoft classifies both volcanoexecutor.com and volcano-executor.net as phishing with a 1/100 trust score, citing blacklist hits, Free Robux risk indicators, and recent registration dates . A third domain, volcano.onl, received no classification from Cloudflare Radar .

Why did the Microsoft Q&A user fail to inject Volcano?

The user reports running as Administrator, disabling Defender, adding exclusions, and reinstalling Roblox, but still receiving "Injection failed: Roblox process not found" . The thread does not resolve whether the cause is the executor, the Roblox version, or the Windows configuration.

Can I download Volcano from this page?

Not yet. Two domains are flagged as phishing . The Download button is a placeholder. When you have a confirmed source and choose to link it, replace the href. Until then, this page serves no file.

Why does this page look different from Ronin's?

Because Ronin had a single tracker entry. Volcano has a detailed changelog, a sandbox score, two phishing-flagged domains, and a support thread. The layout uses layers to separate those records, because they describe different things at different stages of the delivery chain.
